Dear Dr. Linda, I (we) wanted to say a special thank you for all that you did to help our sweet Katie Scarlette in her final day. I know how difficult your job can be but I want you to know you are extremely professional, caring, and wonderfully understanding. I just wanted to be sure you know that you go above and beyond to be helpful and kind. We are so lucky to have you here. In our day to day jobs it’s sometimes difficulty to pull together the strength to help people who are hurting so- you managed to do that and more- so thank you for taking the time and care that you did for us. Katie was in great hands. Thanks you so very much, Joey

Dear Linda, I received your card last Wednesday and I was so touched by your card, the message on the card, and your kind kind thoughts. Thank you so much for that day, as painful as it was, she is buried on the hillside overlooking the mountains. I do not need to relate how much I loved her. She was the “child of my heart”. And on to more happier things, I did locate a 6 month old black and white Manx kitten. I will be getting him in 2 weeks. I know he can’t replace Tizzie. It’s been a long time since I’ve had a kitten in my home. He will have a good home and a loving “mama”. again, Linda, thanks for coming to Tizzie’s and my home. With sincere regards, Laura

Dear Linda, thank you for making our dog’s transition a gentle and loving experience for her and for us. It was almost like being in a dream. Sissy was such a wonderful companion. It was so hard to let her go. Your compassion and expertise made our profoundly sad duty more bearable. I am making a windchime from Sissy’s dog tags. When the breeze blows I will still hear her music. With gratitude, Liz

Dear Linda, I don’t have the words to express how grateful we are for all you did for us, and for Gracey. After losing our kitty Sammie on Saturday, and knowing how very ill Gracey had become, I just couldn’t even think straight. But I spent Saturday night with Gracey holding her, sleeping with her, stroking her and feeling her growing weaker in my arms by the hour. I awoke in the morning on Sunday with her, knowing in my heart that I needed to let her go. And in that moment, and knowing ‘my girl’ as I do, I desperately wanted her last sensations and smells to be in her own home. When I called you, I honestly didn’t believe that would be possible. But you dropped whatever it was you were doing on your Sunday.. and you came. You were so kind and soothing to Gracey, and you were so patient and understanding with us… especially me, as I more or less fell apart. In your work and in your life I know you have met and loved many special dogs. But Gracey was my special dog, indescribably close to my heart since I rescued her from abuse 15 years ago. In all those years she was rarely separated from me, and when rarely I had to leave her, she was with her close friends and family. If I vacationed I simply didn’t go places she couldn’t come along. We would ski, hike, camp, wade rivers and streams, jog the river, adopt new animals, play endless frisbee, stand in the sprinklers… always together. And she was the reason I met my now-husband Frank… at a dog park of course. Losing her feels like cutting off a chunk of myself. But knowing she went gently, under your compassionate care and that her last sights and sounds were in her own home… brings me great comfort. I know what you do is exceptionally difficult- I don’t know how you do it- but I’m so glad and grateful that you did. Thank you for being there for us. Valerie Hill

Dear Linda thank you so much for the card and kind thoughts. We also want to thank you for personally delivering Buffy’s ashes to us- we know you didn’t have to do that! Most of all, thank you for sending Buffy so peacefully on his way. You provided immense comfort and relief to us and most importantly Buffy, by allowing him to pass at home with his family. Thank you so much! Love, Heather and Cindy

Dear Dr. Linda, thank you for making the hardest day and decision of my life as easy and soft as possible. Glad I met you a few months back. This day had haunted me for years. She hated the vets office. I didn’t want to take her back to that cold table or floor. Thank you again, Tim
